PS4 error corrupting save files!?

Some apps on Sony’s PlayStation 4 have also been named unusable.

A 36-paged PlayStation forum thread has confirmed issues with lost progress in multiple games across the platform, in some cases many users lost hours of progress.

The error code has been confirmed as Error CE-34878-0.  According to IGN, “Users report the error occurring with files related to FIFA 14, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghosts, NBA 2K14 and Battlefield 4”.

Many users have published potential error fixes through the deletion and re-installing of specific applications and files representing the error code. However, other users have tried this method and reported no luck.

There is still no known cause or solution to the current problem many PlayStation users are having.

Another user stated, “Just wonder why Sony won’t resolve this issue… I tried to call or chat online, however, it is impossible to get help”

Sony is yet to comment on the issue or provide any information on a potential fix. However there is a support page available over on Sony's US support outlining the error codes. You can find these here!
