Bethesda Reveals New PREY With A Creepy Sci-FI Isolation Aesthetic

Bethesda and Arkane Studios re-introduced us to Prey 2 at long last at this year’s E3 conference. The game now simply known as Prey appears to be something of a full reboot of the property as opposed to a direct sequel. When the original Prey came out in 2006, it was well received and the idea of an expanded more robust sequel was highly anticipated. After cancelling their initially announced Prey 2 back in 2014 Bethesda have always denied they were working on a new version of the game, that is, until now.

This newly revealed version has changed a lot compared to the 2011 original concept and it is interesting to look at the two different versions one after the other. The entire concept seems completely refreshed and the game build again from the ground up. We can only speculate as to the big behind the scenes story about how this game got canceled and then resurrected again. But, most importantly of all, it seems that this was the right decision as this newly unveiled version looks fantasticly atmospheric and has us exceptionally excited to play it.

Check out the videos below to see the differences between the initial 2011 concept and the newly revealed one. As always let us know what you think of this new Prey in the comments. Do you think this was the right way to go with the franchise? Or would you have preferred to see something closer to the original Prey 2?
