No Man's Sky: How To Upgrade Your Exosuit's Storage Capacity
The biggest frustration for most of us when playing the wonderful No Man's Sky has been deciding which valuable items of our inventory to chop out and change as we run out of space on planetary expeditions. Well fear no more, as it's rather quick and easy to upgrade your exosuits storage capacity with minimal fuss. Here's how it's done.
Step 1: Find A Facility With A Signal Scanner
Rather straightforward, when you're pottering around a planet (even on your starter world) you'll come across various alien buildings with signal scanners and the odd lone one in the wilderness too. Once you've successfully found one it's on to step 2.
Step 2: Create A Bypass Chip
You'll need a couple of easily sourced components to create this; 10 Plutonium and 10 Iron. Both of which can be found dotted around the surface of almost every planet.
Step 3: Use The Signal Scanner To Find A Shelter
Use your bypass chip on the signal scanner and select shelter.
Step 4: Repeat Until A 'Drop Pod' Is Detected
You're looking for a drop pod here, so if you don't find one at first create another bypass chip and try again (Or create multiple and find multiple if you're feeling adventurous). Once you've found that it's off to collect your upgrade.
Step 5: Go To The Drop Pod And Grab Your Suit Upgrade
Simple as that, head out on foot or take your ship. Once you arrive at the pod, jump inside and you'll be able to grab yourself a new exosuit storage upgrade. The first one is free, afterwards they cost 10,000 units and go up in increments of 10,000 each time. With a maximum of 48 slots in your exosuit's storage capacity it's time to head out and get upgrading.
