Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles debut trailer!

It's been a long and rocky road for the upcoming Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie with many unhappy with he originally proposed key changes to the characters origin. Suggesting that they would in fact be aliens from space and not 'mutated' as per their original back ground. Not to mention Bay's pentient for over the top unnecessary action set pieces.

At last we get a chance to see if there's any excitement to be had from Bay's take on the Turtles. The initial character design took many by surprise including myself when they were accidentally revealed via new toys for the movie being shown. A much more visceral and realistic look that strays slightly from the design conventions many of us are used to.

With this debut trailer we get a taste of what to expect from the upcoming movie. In classic Michael Bay style it looks to be filled with over the top action. A modern take on the origin story of everyone's favourite Turtle Ninjas and no doubt some interesting dynamics thrown in from the likes of Megan Fox's April O'Neill. The trailer certainly looks promising and pushes the feeling that the team behind this movie are chasing a tone more in line with Sony's Amazing Spiderman and many of Marvel's excellent movies. I'm pleasantly surprised, yet there's plenty that could go wrong, will the wit and charm of the turtle's characters be lost now that they are physically much more imposing? We shall have to wait until the movie's release to find out.

The trailer gives us our first real look at the movie how the characters will move and what to expect from the story. Are you impressed? Has this helped to change your opinion and get you excited? Were you already excited for the movie or are you not interested whatsoever?
