New FALLOUT 4 DLC: Theme Parks, Crazy Contraptions & Your Own Vault!

Earlier this year Bethesda announced a chunky price increase to their Fallout 4 season pass, taking the price from £24.99 up to £39.99. The reason of course being that they had expanded their plans to include a greater amount of DLC for the title. For those who had purchased the Season Pass at the lower price - and wanted more DLC - this was great news. The biggest question though was what could we expect following from the epic expansion that was Far Harbor.

As part of Bethesda's excellent E3 2016 press conference which included a reveal for a HD remaster of Skyrim we got treated to a look at the final 3 pieces of DLC that would round out the Fallout 4 experience. Take a look at the 3 new pieces of DLC below.

Contraptions!

Individual Price: $4.99 / £3.99

The first of the 3 new pieces of DLC gives a huge boost to the players suite of tools for creating and adapting their in game settlements. Touted by Bethesda; "With Fallout 4 Contraptions, use conveyor belts, scaffolding kits, track kits, even logic gates to construct crazy and complex gadgets to improve your wasteland settlements." Expanding on this it was noted that "The Contraptions Workshop also includes all new features like elevators, greenhouse kits, warehouse kits, fireworks, armor racks and more!".

That's a lot of new tinkering to be done on your settlement, and most excitingly of all, Bethesda confirmed that this first new piece of DLC will be available as of next week!

Vault-Tec Workshop

Individual Price: $4.99 / £3.99

Looking like something of a spiritual successor to Bethesda's mobile game Fallout Shelter, the second piece of new DLC scheduled for release in July will give you the opportunity to become the overseer of your very own Fallout vault. That means the opportunity to perform your very own "Vault-Tec approved experiments on your dwellers to learn what makes them an ideal citizen." as well as to customise and manage all aspects of your vault and it's dwellers. Including the furnishings, equipment & layout as well as the appearance of your dwellers via barbershops and cosmetic surgery! Without a doubt an exciting bit of DLC giving us the chance to to play Fallout in a way we never have before, but one that highlights a core element of the lore of the game that we've never been able to experience.

Nuka-World

Individual Price: $19.99 / £19.99

Last but not least, the big one, the huge new area of story, quests and map; Nuka-World. Planned for release in August, Nuka-World will be the final piece of Fallout 4 DLC providing players with a huge new area to explore. Whilst core details are thin, expect huge content similar to that of Far Harbor with this exciting new area set within a town established within the ruins or a once fully operational Nuka-Cola styled theme park.

What do you think of all this new content for Fallout 4? With the last DLC for the title releasing in August, should we expect announcements of new Bethesda RPG titles later in the year? Only time will tell, but for now we're glad to have even more reasons to keep Fallout 4 from leaving our disc drives. Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
