It's been a long time coming but we now have our first true look at this years installment of the ever popular Call Of Duty franchise, Advanced Warfare. The game looks set to take place in the not too distant future with the focus primarily concerned with Private Military Corporations (PMCs) and their impact on the worldwide domains of war and peace.
The action packed trailer as revealed on IGN gives us our first look at star Kevin Spacey, and whilst his role is not clarified it's definitely suggested that he is the owner of one such PMC within the Advanced Warfare universe. Rumours circling the title suggest that the games plot will follow that of Kevin Spacey's characters PMC turning on the US government, though that is purely speculation at present.
As can be seen within the trailer there's plenty of action to go round as well as futuristic weapons, armor and vehicles. The likes of Hoverbikes, exoskeletons of several shapes and sizes as well as futuristic drones can all be seen. It's also notable that characters are shown to make giant leaps at multiple points throughout the trailer, could this be hinting that players when utilising an exoskeleton will have the ability to make giant leaps and bounds across the playfield? Let's hope so, the Call of Duty franchise has been in need of revitalising over the past few years and future warfare could be the game to do just that.
What do you think of the new title? Is it an exciting new development for Call of Duty? Do you think you'll return to the series if you've had a break?
